History of the Cellar
Poderi Zunino has a long history made of ancient knowledge and great passion. Our company was founded immediately after the end of the Second World War by Giovanni Rizzoglio. In 1947, grandfather Nino decided to open a Butcher's and Delicatessen shop in Bistagno, which he ran together with his wife, Isabella Zunino, and his sisters. The goodness of grandmother's fresh pasta and vegetables in oil are still an indelible memory for children and grandchildren, as are mustards and fruit in syrup. Cooked salami, juniper-smoked sausages and heads in boxes, which the men of the house butchered and prepared with expert hands, are also part of this tradition. All these recipes have been jealously guarded over the years to then be expertly re-proposed in the family restaurant.
