History of the Cellar
Cantina Fassati was founded in 1913 and is today one of the largest wineries in Montepulciano with a total surface area of 101 hectares of land of which 89 hectares are vineyards, 4.50 hectares of olive trees for production of extra virgin olive oil. The vineyards, located in a hilly position with excellent exposure, ideal for correct maturation of the grapes are characterized by different types of soil: tufaceous, sandy, clayey. The vineyards they are pruned with the Guyot method, so that the vine is not exploited to the maximum, yes it will have a lower yield, but certainly a higher quality.
