Prepare yourself for an extraordinary journey through time and taste: we invite you to discover the fascinating world of the Perticaia winery, a place where history intertwines with the art of winemaking. Prepare yourself for an exclusive experience that will not only tantalize your taste buds, but will also offer you a glimpse into the rich heritage that lies behind each bottle.
The experience will begin with a visit to the cellar where our history and the entire production process of our wines will be told, visiting both the winemaking and barrel aging areas, ending with a view of our lands from above. Once the visit is over, the guided tasting will begin, seated, in our wine shop. Weather permitting, this can also take place on our wonderful terrace overlooking the Umbrian valley. The Classic Experience includes a tasting of 5 glasses of our line, including Spoleto DOC 100% Trebbiano Spoletino and Montefalco Rosso DOC and Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG.
To complement the mastery of the wines, we present a delicious array of locally sourced products that celebrate the culinary prowess of the region. Immerse yourself in the harmonious blend of flavors as you savor each bite of our artisanal bruschetta, drizzled with the finest EVO Oil that tantalizes the senses.
History of the Cellar
PERTICAIA is the word with which, in the archaic language of Umbria, the plow is called, the tool which, more than any other, marks the transition from sheep farming to agriculture. A territory, a vine, a wine. It is natural that right here, in the center of green Umbria, among hills cultivated with vineyards and olive trees, dotted with towers, villages and medieval castles, it was decided to give life to Perticaia. After the purchase of the land, substantial work begins on the planting of new vineyards and the construction of a modern cellar, in perfect balance with the surrounding environment and taking care to maintain the appearance of the old farms in the area.
