History of the Cellar
"Podere La Chiesa is a winery located in Tuscany, in the Chianti area, a territory famous for the production of one of the most famous wines in the world: Chianti Classico. The company is located in the hills of Radda in Chianti, one of the most renowned sub-areas for the quality of its wines, characterized by a favorable climate and soils rich in limestone and clay, ideal for viticulture. The winery was founded in 1999 by Francesco Busi, who chose to invest in a small farm with the aim of producing high-quality wines, respecting local winemaking traditions and using sustainable agricultural practices. The name ""Podere La Chiesa"" refers to the location of the property, which once housed a rural church. The winery's production philosophy focuses on the enhancement of native Tuscan vines, especially Sangiovese, which is the heart of production, but also other traditional vines such as Canaiolo and Colorino for reds, and Trebbiano and Malvasia for whites. The winery stands out for its holistic approach to viticulture, with environmentally friendly practices, such as the use of organic farming, careful management of vineyards and the adoption of modern winemaking techniques."
