The visit to the estate begins with a walk outside among our vineyards, during which we will tell you about the characteristics of the Serrapetrona area, the history of the winery and the uniqueness of the native vine of the area, Vernaccia Nera.
We will then continue inside, where we will explain the traditional technique of drying in the fruit cellar, the room dedicated to this process of dehydrating the grapes, and then move on to the description of the processing techniques in the winemaking cellar and end the tour in the barrel cellar, in which our wines mature in wood, according to their own times.
We will therefore conclude with the tasting of the 7 wines we produce, in the cool of our store or outside, depending on the weather conditions.
History of the Cellar
The Vicari farm is a small family-run business, made up of Nazzareno and his two children Vico and Valentina, located in Morro D'Alba. The Vicari were "those of the good well" because in their district there was and still is a large well from which all the inhabitants of Morro D'Alba drew drinking water. Today, every bottle and every label recalls this story, enclosed in the writing that characterizes all the "Del Pozzo Buono" wines and in the company logo that depicts a stylization of the ancient shape of the large historic well.
