L'azienda
Cantina Marchesi di Barolo is a historic winery located in Barolo, in the heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont. Founded in the 19th century, it is one of the oldest and most representative wineries in the region. The history of the winery is closely linked to the spread of Barolo as one of the great Italian red wines; in fact, the Marchesa Juliette Colbert, wife of the Marquis of Barolo, is credited with the beginning of the modern winemaking of Nebbiolo, which gave rise to Barolo. Today, the winery is run by the Abbona family, who continues the tradition by focusing on quality and the enhancement of native Langhe vines, such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and others. The company produces a wide range of wines, with a particular focus on Barolo, but also Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, and other traditional Piedmontese wines. Cantina Marchesi di Barolo is also known for its wine tourism hospitality, offering guided tours and tastings in the historic cellars and surrounding vineyards, allowing enthusiasts to discover the secrets of wine production in the Langhe.Localizzazione
