Fontanafredda winery, located in the Langhe of Piedmont in Serralunga d'Alba, is one of the historic wineries of Italy, founded in 1858 by Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of Italy, as an estate for his beloved Rosa Vercellana. Fontanafredda is today one of the most important wineries in Piedmont, with a vast production that ranges from the great reds of the Langhe to fresh whites and sparkling wines, best expressing the potential of the territory. Fontanafredda is renowned above all for its Barolo wines, such as the famous Barolo “La Rosa”, produced from historic vineyards. With over 120 hectares of vineyards, Fontanafredda combines tradition and innovation, maintaining a strong identity linked to the Langhe area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Localizzazione
