History of the cellar

La Veneranda is an exclusively female-run company where Eleonora Alessandrelli and Anna Rita Scarca, with the love for their land passed on to them by their families, take care of the farm, committing themselves to the enhancement of Montefalco wines and the preservation of our beautiful land. The first La Veneranda label made its debut in 2005, thus marking the beginning of the marketing of our bottled wines on a national and international scale.

Although we remain a small company, we follow the entire wine production chain: from the care and cultivation of the vines, to the grape harvest, to the winemaking, up to the bottling and sale.

Pruning and harvesting are done exclusively by hand, to keep the bunches intact until the pressing stage. The land is cultivated with care, respecting sustainable viticultural practices as per the regulations. Respect for the environment also translates for us into the use of clean energy for all the machinery inside the cellar which is powered by renewable energy. In 2019 our company joined the “100% Luce Amica Energia Pulita” project promoted by NWG.
